Question about Kenwood KDC-135 CD Player

1 Answer

Kenwood KDC 237

Every time when I want to set the display on frequency, the display switches back to a demo-screen after about a minute. How can I program the radio in a way, that it won't switch back, but keeps showing the frequency? Thank you for your assistance.

To turn off the Demo mode you need to:

Press source button, then select stand by mode.

Using the FM/AM button select Demo display

To set the demo mode hold the source button for 2 seconds
it will switch from on and off.

If this doesn't help I have included a link of the manual, it's on page 25.

To turn off the demo you need to press the src button to put it in standby mode. Then press the menu button as if to change the settings and use the joystick to scroll right until you see demo, then turn it to off....

Do as above to allow you to enter AUX mode this will let you plug in your MP3 player to the input on the face and hear music through it ;)

How to turn demo off kdc-mp3035

1. Be sure the unit is in the stand-by mode (ie: turned off)
2. Push the control knob towards FM or AM. Select the DEMO display
3. To set the DEMO mode, do this:
Press the control knob for at least 2 seconds. The demonstration mode alternates between DEMO ON and DEMO OFF.

Although it doesn't say, i would imagine you need to press the MENU button to exit this screen.

This information came from the instruction manual that I was able to download from the internet. Shoot me an e-mail and I'll forward it off to you.

It's not too difficult but you are correct, it doesn't tell you correctly in the installation instructions.
