Network selection My nokia 6610i keeps telling to select network especially if it;s in my pockets shirt or trouser.

All Nokias has a unique configuration process which can be found within the setting sub manu. simply go to your phone manu, select setting, select connectivity, and open pocket data options. under pocket data section, select "always available" and within the same section, choose the ISP (Internet Service Provider) network and/or GSM network you are subscribed to. If this doesn`t work, contact your GSM and/or Internet Service Provider for additonal help.

If the Phones displays Contact service means it locked to Network,You need to unlock it,get the unlock code from the site Onlinegsmunlock.com/unlock-your-phone/rs7wp2/ and Unlock NOKIA 6610I.

i think your phone's network connection is in manual. You should Press Menu, and select Settings, Phone settings and Network selection. Select
Automatic and the phone automatically selects one of the cellular networks
available in your area.

the nokia phone is locked to vodafone. it will need to be unlocked before other sim cards can be used

You need to get your Nokia phone unlocked for all networks and for that you need to contact Vodafone to get the unlock codes.

Go to a repair shop. That could be a software or hardware problem. And they have machine interface to check that. Reflow or reheating of some component might needed in this one, maybe a loose contact on some IC chip.

     to connect via cable..u frst need to install the drivers of cable & than u need to go to control panel>phone & modem options> in that click on modems tab> in that check for ur hndset modem. If u dnt get 6101 modem than click on add new modem.in than select dont detect my modem i will select it from the list...in that either u will get nokia or standard modem..if ur geting nokia than select 6101 model & press next..if ur geting standard modem than select 9600bps modem..after select either of them select the port in which u want to install the modem ..it should be more than 2..after that u can connect
