I cannot get the drivers for my HP Scanjet 2200c. It worked in XP but now I dont have the disk. I have tried the old XP drivers and they dont work. There are no updates available under windows update or HP websie. Please assist. Thank you

You can find drivers for HP 2200C Scanjet scanner for Win 7 and 8 from www.hamrick.com. Its working with watermark in free edition otherwise you have to buy the licence.

Try going to Hp solutions website and download the updated drivers for windows 7. Usually the drivers come with windows operating system. But you may need a new driver for the unit to work correctly.

Its difficult to say if the driver software will work on Windows 7, although Windows 7 is very forgiving when it comes to older software. Here is the link to the driver and software page for your scanner:

Try the Windows XP driver and remember that if you have any compatibility issues, you can always right click on the driver setup file and choose the compatibility wizzard: In this case, choose the Windows XP compatibility option.

That one does not support windows 7 but you can install the driver for xp and it might work first uninstal all drivers for the scanner do this go to systems and hardware remove all the old drivers and then install the driver that is most recent like xp or vista,

HP does not have a driver for this scanner with either Vista or Windows 7. One workaround is available in Windows 7 Pro or Ultimate. You can set up the XP mode and install the scanner within the virtual computer. Scanned files may need to be put on an external drive to transfer them between the two "computers".
