All coffee makers use a thermal fuse which opens
(interrupts) at a specific temperature, generally somewhere above boiling point
and do not reset when cool.
They are designed to prevent fires if the
thermal switch which cycles the heater fails and the heating element heats
beyond its normal operating temperature.
These Chinese devices are poorly made and
unpredictable in performance.
They are not user-replaceable since they are spot-welded on both ends; the only possibility is the replacement of the pre-assembled heating element/thermal switch/thermal fuse which will likely cost close or equal to the price of a new machine if at all available.
