Weird display light above the power button - Gateway 450SX4 Notebook

Press the cancel button all indicator lights/LED should be off
Select any button except Power, Start,Pause/Cancel
e.g. select buttohttp://www.fixya.com/answer/answerpageslideview.aspx?thid=25219265&ctg=130n "Soil Level"
Press "Soil Level" button and hold for 3 seconds
Release "Soil Level" button wait for 3 seconds
Press "Soil Level" button and hold until "88" lights up on the display and all indicator lights turn on
Watch the display flash any error codes will be displayed. e.g. "81" , "F", etc
Take a note of the numbers and letters displayed, press the "Soil Button" and the next set of codes will be shown. Press the soil button a few times noting down all the codes until "88" is displayed.

If the "Soil Button" doesn't work try another button using the same procedure above exluding any of the buttons mentioned above.

Please post the error codes you have noted.

1. Press and hold down the ASSIGN A button (the light should be blinking) then (simultaneously) press the REC button above channel number 1. The light should blink when you do this.
2. Release the ASSIGN A and the REC button
3. Press the REC button above channel 1 (the light should be blinking by itself)
4. You should see the meters moving with in the display above Input A and Track 1 when you speak into the microphone.
5. Press the REWIND button twice until the display reads ABS 00.00.00.00
6. Press and hold the RECORD button and press the PLAY button. The REC light above channel one, the PLAY light and the RECORD light should become solid.
7. After recording press the STOP button.
8. Press the REWIND button twice until the display reads ABS 00.00.00.00
9. Press the PLAY button.

We found a way to reset the computer and solved the problem.
1. Press and hold pause turn off machine and turn back on holding pause all the while.
2. This should reset the computer. All lights will light up on LCD display.
3. Release pause button. Turn off machine, turn back on and begin a new wash cycle.

Does the weird noise sound like a whining noise? Like something is spinning? If so then your color wheel is going out.

try to replace the battery and clean its place
note : the ram can make this problem

Hi, I suggest you do a full system reset on the printer and see if that fixes anything. Please do the following. Come back and check with me if it doesn't work.
Performing a semi-full reset of the All-in-One

1. Use the Power button to turn on the product.
2. Unplug the power cord from the back of the product.
3. Press and hold the # button and the 6 button.
4. While holding the buttons down, plug the power cord into the back of the product.
5. Continue to hold the buttons down until the control panel display goes blank.
6. Release the buttons, and then use the Power button to turn on the product. The reset information appears on the control panel display.

At first you should clarify if your GPU or LCD is broken.
Do You have any chance to try another monitor with your Graphicadapter or to try your monitor on a different PC?
Moreover you should try it with a new cable.

The symptom of weird symbols sounds most likely like a overheated or wrong-plugged Graphicadapter

Right Click on Desktop
select Properties
select the Scree Saver tab
Click on the Power Button which is on the right side
select the power schemes
In that select the power schemes options and choose "Never" for turn off monitor, turn off hard disk and system stand by
click on
Apply
Repeat the above step for each option in "Power Schemes"
then click on ok

Is the laptop display a windows or black out

Black out?
Please stop the laptop by pressing the power button until it stop.
remove the battery
remove the memory and then after 15 minute insert back the memory and install the battery.

If the system display windows, and the problem is always start when plugging the ac power. maybe the battery of the laptop is damage.

Please try go to bios setup and then at the power option, find the restore the "last state" something like that and the set it to "off: option.

There maybe electrical shorts connecting the two motherboards, logic part and screen display part, or within the screen display part, causing the weird display when the calculator appears otherwise functional. Open the TI 83+ case following the U Of Washington posting on fixing TI 83+ problem on inability to communicate with TI link cable between calculator and computer. I used the plastic tools in an IPod battery replacement set to open the TI 83+ case as plastic tools will cause less damage to the TI case. Under the aluminun foil are the two motherboards, each a work of beauty. Good work TI. Connecting the two motherboards is a adhesive enbedded connectors sheet. Above that adhesive connector sheet was a different adhesive connectors sheet in the screen display part, which in my case, some of connectors were exposed. I wiped that adhesive connector sheet and the weird display disappeared with calculator functioning. I may buy some heat resistant clear adhesive tape to put over the exposed connectors part for insulation if problem occurs again. The above may or may not be helpful.
