Hmmm..the network key is part of the set up of the wireless print device...you must have that, unless someone else set it up?

What is enter key for AES mean on printer?? trying to connect to the network with o success.

The AES key is the encryption key for your wireless network connection. I would suggest you to ask the guy who setup your wireless network. He surely knows what the passcode is. If not, you can revert the settings of the wireless router back to factory defaults.
Good luck!

You will need to select your network, and "forget" it. Depending on the operating system you have the setting will be in a different location.

Sometimes just rebooting the computer and printer might be enough to reset it, but otherwise you need to input the key again because it would have a different identifier key number.

I am trying to set up a wireless printer connection. I need to know my SSID and Network key. How do I find this information?

the SSID is the name of your home network. if you dont have a wireless network the printer might not function adhoc. the network key is the password used to connect to your wireless. some devices have the ssid and key listed on the bottom of the router.

I am trying to add a wifi printer to my wireless network, but the installation is asking for my Network Security Key. How do I find that?

Network security key is nothing but the wireless password that you have set for connecting to your network. You just have to type in that to connect the printer to your wireless network. If you do not know the password, let me know and I will help you reconfigure it with a password of your choice

Security string

It seems that you are trying to connect the printer to wireless network with security.

Check the wireless network security settings. The printer requires the same key your system uses to connect to wireless network.

Thanks

MFC-7840W Printer: need tp set the wireless setting, lost the instruc...

To setup your Brother MFC-7840W on a wireless network do the following:

Press Menu.

Scroll down to #5 LAN and hit OK

In the LAN submenu, scroll down to 2. WLAN and hit OK.

In the WLAN submenu select 2. Setup Wizard.
(The printer will search for the SSID of your network. If you are presented with multiple networks, select yours and hit OK.)

Depending whether you have setup a network key on your wireless network, you will have to choose the type of connection. Your options will be Open System, Shared key, and WPA/WPA2-PSK.

If you have a Shared Key or WPA/WPA2-PSK network, then you willhave to enter the key to connect. Open Key does not use a key to connect.

So for instance, if you selected WPA2-PSK you will then be asked to enter your passphrase key to connect to your wireless network.

Can't connect the artisan 800 to our wireless network

To add the printer to your wireless network, you need to know the name (SSID)
of your wireless network. If it has security enabled, you also need to know the
WEP key or passphrase. Write down the SSID and WEP key or passphrase below:
■ Network name (SSID): _________________________________________
■ WEP key or passphrase: _________________________________________
Note:
If the WEP key is either 5 or 13 characters, it’s ASCII. If the WEP key is either 10 or 26
characters, it’s hexadecimal. The default WEP key is usually 1.
If your passphrase contains upper- or lowercase letters, be sure to note it correctly.
The printer supports the following wireless security modes: WEP 64, WEP 128, and
WPA-PSK.
If you don’t know your wireless network name (SSID) or WEP key or passphrase,
contact the person who set up your wireless network before you begin.

Insert the printer software CD.
2. Windows Vista®: If you see the AutoPlay window, click Run Epsetup.exe.
When you see the User Account Control screen, click Continue.
Windows® XP: When you see the Software installation screen, continue with
step 3.
Mac OS® X: Double-click the icon.
3. Click Install.

1.Make sure that the printer is turned on.
2. When you see the FireWall Warning screen, click Next.
3.Make sure you connected the Ethernet cable

What is a ssid and a wep key. I am dumb.

Hi,
SSID is the wireless networks name you want to access.

WEP is a special hexadecimal key to secure your network means if you want to connect a wireless network you will have to put this key.
It will be provided by the admin
