Hello there!

I suggest you to check your mainboard and what VGA you could upgrade for it. When you find that out, select what best fits to you wallet, and enjoy!

Sincerely

I have a Toshiba L355D-S7825. I run Windows 7 on it. I want to update my graphics card to Shader 3. Will my computer support this? Is it motherboard compatible? What's a good card with this...

The shader 3 mode is a inbuilt option that is designed within the graphic cards (i.e. intergrated or slotted cards). This function usually use for high graphics gaming for PCs. You cannot upgrade the Graphic card to get this Shader 3 options for your Laptop. The best options you can do is to update the drivers & DirectX to the latest for your laptop "ATI Radeon™ 3100 Graphics" intergrated graphic card.

Hope it helps.

No, your video card cannot be upgraded, it's integrated in the motherboard. The only thing you can do is to assign it more memory.

Best video card upgrade for Gateway GT4024???? Stock computer....except ram upgrade to 2x1gb....want to increase the video handling from the slow onboard video

Your upgrade options for a better video card are really dependent on how much you want to spend.  You have a PCI express x16 slot which is what your are going to use.  Visit www.newegg.com and you can look up video cards by manufacturer, memory amount, and even filter it by how much you are willing to spend.  Here's a link at newegg for "the best video card upgrade":
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161203

Since there is a newer PCI 2.0 Express connection on newer computers, you can get your video cards cheaper now.  You will notice a huge improvement with any video card you choose since onboard video is about the worst.  Just remember to go into the device manager and disable onboard video card after you install the new video card.
    Good Luck

Upgrading HP Pavilion 764n RAM and Video Card

THe best performance would be achieved by upgrading this PC to the maximum allowed. If you are not sure the max, go to www.crucial.com and enter in your model. The video card is not as important. If the hard drive is slow or the performance is still slow after a memory upgrade, you might want to reformat and reinstall Windows.
