How to clear the jam depends on where the jam is.

If the Jam is in Tray 1:
1. If you can see the jammed sheet, remove the jammed sheet by pulling it straight out.
2. If you cannot see the jammed sheet, open the tray 1 door and pull out tray 2.
3. Push down on two tabs to release the tray 1 panel.
4. Remove the jammed sheet by pulling it straight out.
5. Push up on two tabs to replace the tray 1 panel.
6. Replace tray 2.

If the Jam is in Tray 2:
1. Pull out tray 2 and place it on a flat surface.
2. Remove the jammed sheet by pulling it straight out.
3. Replace tray 2.
4. Press OK to continue printing.

If the Jam is in the Fuser area:
1. Open the rear door.
2. Remove any jammed sheets.
3. Close the rear door.

If the Jam is in the Output Bin:
1. Look for jammed paper in the output bin area.
2. Remove any visible media
3. Open and then close the rear door to clear the message.

It is possible that the paper may tear when clearing the jam. Be sure to clear any paper fragments that tear off.

nashuatec 2205 equivalent to ricoh 1022/220 and the problem of sc542 means that you termistor is out of order. Don't panic,with little patient you could solve it.
Firstly,switch off the machine, then take out the fuser unit after you open the lateral door. Below the unit,you will see 2 termistor unit with red contact.Replaced it both with new unit.Reinsrt it the fuser unit back and closed the lateral door.
Switch on the copier, you must go in sp mode . First
push the yellow[c] button follow by button1,0,7 then
push red button[cancel] for several seconds until you in sp mode revealed by the screen.Switch off the copier for 1-2 minutes then switch it on,wa la it working back. It will cost you compare to calling the technician
