Maytag model sde305dayw

I have the same problem with the same model Maytag dryer. I called a repairman and paid a hefty service charge and the repairman found that the electronic control board needed to be replaced. This particular part (Part #8558455) costs between $250 and $350. Evidently there are many people with the same problem.

This sounds like the drum's drive belt broke. But also ensure there isn't a problem with the drive motor. Do you still hear a motor running when you turn it on? If so, you'll need to replace the drive belt.

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

hi thanksfor the question the noise that you hear could be the blower wheel this is a very common problem with maytag the blower is located at the left front
