Question about RCA Audio Players & Recorders
My 5 disc changer bites the dust I have no output I took it apart and there is two blown fuses which says it all.The no on the fuse is 5s5a would that be a slow blow 5 amp fuse. What do you think might have taken it out I jumpeed the fuse tempoary and notice the transformer gets hot and the large diodes after the fuse start to get hot.I get audio noise out of the speaker.Would there be a short in the output causing the diodes and the xformer to get hot.

SOURCE: 5 DVD disc changer doesn't open
are you using discs with labels that you out on your self? I had a similar problem before and my label peeled off in the player causing it to get stuck., you might just have to take it apart, and get the label out.

The C601 will not spin up the disc unless one is detected. If the optics are bad and do not realize that the disc is there...
Try cleaning the lens using a cotton swab and alcohol. If that does not resolve the problem, the optics are bad. The optics in this unit are KSS-240 (I think). This part costs about $30-$40 depending upon where you get it. You can try to replace it or have a shop replace it for you. Add in the local labor rate for the total repair cost. This is a relatively simple repair. I have done 100s. It usually takes about 45 minutes plus the testing time.

SOURCE: i have a Bose acoustic
I called Bose service. Jason said to unplug for 1minute then plug back in. If the changer does not reboot and operate properly....you call Bose service. They will exchange your cd changer for a new one.
$75 plus tax and return your cd's to you. They will give instructions for the exchange when you call.

Well, so far so good. I reinstalled the newly repaired amp and fired it up and so far, so good. Ran it through about an hour of fairly intense break-in tracks and then ran it through about 2 dozen power up and down cycles to try to get it to fail (better now than a month from now and have to fight them on backing it up).

SOURCE: rca rs 2620 power but no audio
I need to see if the manual has any method of button pushing to get the sound back on. Otherwise, I am not an electronic type of guy that has soldering tools, can tell a resistor from a plug, etc. if that is what is needed to get the thing going with sound.
