OSD Locks Automatically

Power off your computer and then remove the monitor cable from the port on the back side of the computer case.

Reattach the cable and make sure the pins are correctly screwed in. Power the computer back on and check to see if the OSD lockout message is still being displayed.

Check the manual that came with your computer or monitor and locate the troubleshooting section if you are still receiving the OSD lockout message.
Find the OSD lockout heading and read the method that your particular model uses to remove the lockout.
Attempt generic lockout removal procedures if you no longer have the manual that came with your monitor.

Press and hold the "Menu" button located at the bottom of your monitor for 15 seconds and wait to see if the OSD lockout message disappears.

Press the "Menu" button again if the lockout message remains on the screen.
Use the arrow buttons to navigate through the main menu options.

Highlight the "Settings" or "OSD Menu" option and then hit the Menu key again to access the new list of settings.

Scroll down to the "OSD Lock" heading. Use the arrow keys to change the setting to "No." Hit the Menu key again to return to the main menu. Scroll to the "Exit" setting and then hit the Menu key a final time to exit the menu setting and remove the OSD lockout.

hope this helps

Setting my aspire 5332 to factory settings getting an error message while setting up what do i do

If you're getting an error message during the installation of the operating system, then the OS CD that you're using is corrupted or no good.
Try finding another OS CD.

Disable onboard graphics of my PCChips M825LU motherboard?

Hi,

Yes its a BIOS setting that you have to change. Usually you change from on-board to AGP settings or plug the graphics card in, take out the motherboard battery and the power cord from the back, leave it for 20 minutes and put them all back again.

This will reset the BIOS and should auto detect the AGP graphics card. You will however need to set the date and time but you can do that from Windows.

Regards.

Are OCZ PC3 1333 ddr3 1.65v memory compatible with

Intel's web site for the board has the following:

The Desktop Board supports the following memory:

  • Four 240-pin Double Data Rate 3 (DDR3) SDRAM Dual Inline Memory Module (DIMM) connectors with gold-plated contacts arranged in two channels
  • 1333/1066 MHz DDR3 SDRAM interface
  • Support for single- and dual-channel memory interleaving
  • Unbuffered, non-registered single- or double-sided DIMMs with a voltage rating of less than 1.6 V. Using a DIMM with a voltage rating higher than 1.6 V may damage the processor.
  • Non-ECC DDR3 memory
  • Serial Presence Detect (SPD) memory only
  • Up to 16 GB maximum total system memory
You need to contact TigerDirect and have them change out the memory for sticks that meet the above specs.

Blue screen when loading windows 2003 server

if you get the blue screen code and type it in www.dogpile.com you can find some answers there, i would sugest that you reset all the bios settings to factory default, that normaly fixes the bluescreen on instalations, you may need the motherboard drivers for the sata and put them on floppy for the system to install the hard drive drivers.
one problem i do come accross is that sata drives are funny so in most bios settings there is a sata setting that switches back to IDE it was for backward compatability problems.
good luck

Print Photographs on Minolta Magicolor 6100

Hi Ralph,
do you have any options within the printer or software program itself, to give you options to lighten-darken output ?
Or perhaps changing the resolution settings May Help You.
Also try to print a test page in printer preferences, to eliminate the printer itself.

Printer driver vs standby

Indeed this seems rather odd, and also a inconvenience. However, after following up with some research I found following Microsoft Knowledge Base. In a nutshell, any one of the following may cause Standby mode not to function properly becasue of this printer: device drivers, a program running in the background which interferes with Standby mode, or a BIOS Power Saving setting which needs to be enabled. So you may have to continue disabling the printer, or contact the hardware manufacturer from the printer to find out if any updates are coming to resolve that odd issue.
