START - HELP - RESTORE -
Restore to a date before you deleted the printer. I am guessing that part of the software is stil intact and mwessing up the new install. If that doesn't work, uninstall the printer, disconnect it and then reinstall it.
Apparently, the regular uninstall procedure does not completely uninstall the software drivers. Then, if new drivers or software are installed, a conflict is created between the old drivers and the new drivers. You have to first run the DellXPCleanUpUtility to completely clean out the old software drivers. Then, you can install the new drivers successfully.
I suggest you to verify if you have administrator rights on your computer (Control Panel > User accounts and check if your name says Administrator) You could try to reinstall the .NET framework 2.0 by going to microsoft website (on serch, look for .NET framework download and it will take you there), and see what happens. If it is still not working, you should contact Microsoft because this would be an issue with Windows itself.
