Question about Computers & Internet
2wire 1700hg failing. Believe it to be the power 5v 2.1a power transformer. Cany you suggest a repair, low cost power supply replacment sources or low cost replacement sources for the whole 1701 unit?
It does'nt have to be 2.1 amp as long as that it delivers at least 2.1 amp. It could be 3, 4, 5, 6 or even 7 amp as long as it's not less than 2.1 amp and the voltage is 5v. That gives you more options. The only other thing is the plug that goes in to the 2Wire box. Usually the hole (center pin) in the plug is the positive and the outer sleeve is the negative. Some but not many are the opposite way round.
Scroll down and look down left hand side.
