Touch Screen for Nintendo Ds lite.

The top surface of the lower ds screen can be replaced very cheaply. It's not the LCD screen, but the "digitizer" or touch screen.
You can get them on ebay for like $5:

If you don't have the know how to replace it yourself, maybe you can order the part and bring it to a repairman.

yeah they should come with screen protectors.. =( I scratched mine to hell before i realized what a screen protector was, and ended up trading it in at gamestop and buying a new one. I know it's not an answer to what you're looking for, but that's what i did.. =(

There are trade in for new DS Lite or DSi at some Gamestops and EB games. I suggest getting a screen protector, you can pick them up cheap at Walmart with a new stylus so it wont scratch anymore. Some games have regular control options like Super Mario DS. I wouldn't suggest just replacing the screen (costs more than the price of the ds).

or for $40.00 have a repair person do it also on ebay under repair nintendo ds lite

Yes the touch screen can be replaced, you can buy a new one on ebay for $10.00 you will also need a triwing screwdriver, also on ebay. you can try nintendo to see if it's under warranty.

you do know if you have bought the ds from a games shop and had it less than 12 months you can get a free replacement no matter how many scratches or even a free repair, so if you do get a replacement go on ebay and get yourself some touch screen guards/protector, they only cost 99p most of them are free post and packaging, i hope this is of any use

aparently fitting a new touchscreen works, i have just ordered one from ebay, cost me a tenner

Two choices. One: If your console still has a warranty, send it in to Nintendo for repair. Two: Search on some site like Ebay for replacement touch screens and buy one. Replace the faulty touch screen with the brand new one.

you must send it in to Nintendo, for a new touch screen or take it to your nearest GameStop video store.
