My 2004 Yamaha Royal Start Venture will not start. Battery is good. nothing turns on in any key position. Just got back from a ride and was going to go on a quick one. Got on the bike, turned key, bike started, then everything went dead. I'm at work and need to get home.

On left hand side, remove rear foot board and plastic cover ,you may remove battery and in behind their is a block which has 2 - 30 amp fufuses . That is your solution . Check and replace as required.

1st check the fuse(s) including the main fuse on the starter solenoid.
Then check battery connections are tight.
If OK then check wiring & connections from battery to starter solenoid to ignition switch, but with no meter it will have to be a visual check for bad connections or squashed wires

Hope this helps (if so please mark as very helpful)

I have a 1986 Venture Royal and nothing happens when I press the start button with a new relay and battery with the ignition on

The clutch has to be pulled to start the bike. The clutch safety switch may be broken.
Check the "run/stop" switch as well as the starter button

2008 yamaha royal star venture - trouble starting - battery is fully charged - hardly turns over as if the battery was weak

If after market battery may not have enough cranking amps.Turn on lights an try to start.Lights go dim to off battery bad.If lights don't change it's starter. One bad cell in battery can mess with the power to turn starter enough.

I have a 2005 yamaha venture royal star and i just replaced the iginition coil on the rear left hand side due to weak spark. The new coil seemed to have a lot more spark (maybe too much). The bike started...

If it wont do anything then it is likely that youve popped a fuse
But it sounds like the battery isnt being charged properly. Make sure the voltage across the batt terminals is at least 13.5v at tickover rising to no more than 15.5v at higher revs
