Thje door is dripping wet when the cycles are finished on my brabd bew Bosch. The manual says to use a rinse and I have it loaded with Jet Dry and it still does not work. The silverware is filthy when the cycles are finished, I am afraid it is not cleaning dishes either. The whole concept of a dishwasher it to heat dry dishes to kill germs. Never heard of passive drying. My whirpool worked perfectly for over 20 years. I am sick!

Just bought a Bosch dishwasher and we were told that they have no heating mechanism to dry the dishes, which is why they are more energy efficient.  You are supposed to leave the door closed for at least one hour after the cycle is complete.  The heat that has built up inside during the wash cycle will dry the dishes.  It is also recommended to always use JetDry. If you follow this advice, the dishes will come out fine.

Same problem and I was also having problems with the glasses not looking clean. Called repair man out and he said to do two things: Only use liquid detergent and turn your hot water on at the kitchen sink before starting dishwasher. That way the hot water is already there when the washer starts. The tablet soaps do not work in this dishwasher.

These dishwashers are designed for "passive drying" -- in other words, they do not heat the dishwasher in order to dry the dishes but leave them wet.  It calls the process "condensation drying" -- which is a fancy German term for "not dry them at all".  I greatly regret buying this dishwasher, for this reason and others.

I have a two year old Bosch diswasher. My solution to solving all the problems including the one I am experienceing is:

Junk the dishwasher and buy a new one. A Sears Model will always work.

Bosch SMU7052UC gets stuck in wash cycle. Pressing alot of buttons, on/off, I can move it to rinse where it sticks again. No drying either. Any suggestions?

I have a 10 year old Bosch SMU 7000 and the drying function has ceased. Dishes are wet after all cycles. From what Ive read this isn't worth fixing because Bosch are so difficult to get into.

Have bosch she45 that stays wet inside after cycle completes. some of the dishes are wet also, how do I stop this

First of all, Bosch is my Favorite! Secondly, maybe your heated dry button is not on. Are you keeping the door closed until the dishes have had a chance to completely dry? This unit has a system that drys with the walls of the d/w as long as the door remains closed. I hope this helps you. :>)!

My bosch dishwasher will not dry the dishes

this dw to save energy works this way- the final rinse will reach a temp of 161 F . the dishes have to absorb this heat. when the cycle is complete the dishes become a heater in themselves radiating the heat they absorbed during the final 161 F heat. If you have any tupperware or plastic dishes in the unit they will not absorb heat therefore not radiate the 161 f temp need to dry all the dishes. try to avoid plastic items and they must always have jet dry. this is the european way of conserving energy. on the old ge or whirlpool they had electric element in the bottom that would bake the dishes dry ....not these..but they do save alot of energy.. it helps right after a cycle to crack the door open release all the steam from the unit

Dishwasher not drying

Same problem here. I read the manual very carefully. "OptiDry", "ExtraDry", "EcoDry", "condensation drying" -- lots of fancy words to cover the simple fact -- they DO NOT DRY the dishes. There is no heating element. I wish they would just state this up-front. Air drying the dishes for 24 hours after each wash is not workable for most users...
