Hardwired connection. Recently getting DLNA error 2104 & message that ethernet cable not connected in intermittent fashion several times a minute. System continued to work dispite messages if interruption was short. Recently got DLNA error 7531 with more consistent no cable connection message. Been using Playon media server for several weeks. Update PS3 and Playon software. Tested with Virus protection and firewall turned off. Seems to be popular problem.
My Ps3 is saying their is no ethernet Cable connected when it is connected and i know the cable works beacuse i also used it for my Pc please help im desperate

the gaming sever is the issue here. Also your anti virus firewall and ports for game sharing on other devices needs to be set or corrected. Ports list for the PS3 should be posted on the gaming site for the PS3.
It will be lit up if there's a Ethernet Cable Connected to either of the 4 ports. If you will be using a Hardwired connection to connect the Computer to the router you will see that the light on the port where the ethernet cable is connected will lit up. However if you will be using wireless connection then it wont lit up.
there is a program on your computer that shouldnt be there thats preventing it from working..go to start then control panel then clink on maintenance+system then click on device manager and any program in the list in yellow triangles you uninstall.
There's a high change that your security software is stopping you from sharing files. Check it and make sure sharing is turned on for the files you're using. Hope this helps.
My experience is different. My DSL router died in the night and I had to install the old one. I just changed the wireless settings on my C7280, and now all three connections work. If no wire (ethernet or USB) is connected, the wireless connection works. If the Ethernet cable is connected, it works via Ethernet, and if the USB cable is connected, it works via USB. It seems to default in that order.
