There is three things that you will need:
Proper port set up on laptop device manager (Check settings) LPT1 is for a parallel port - Need USB
Correct Driver for the Citizen 6000 Pro Laser (Windows should auto install)
Hub that will communicate via USB to the IEEE 1284 Printer via cable.
I hate to suggest, but you may have to call Microsoft Citizen Tech Support for suggestions on the Hub that will communicate via USB properly. Check your manual for setup options.
My friend, converting X to Y never creates a X. You need the proper driver for your printer. If the manufacturer hasn't created a driver and your OS manufacturer doesn't support the printer, the last practical option is to find a 3rd party driver which you will probably have to pay for.
Linksys wireless card mosly gives this type of error and not work with its own driver. Try uninstalling the drivers completely , reboot your systems then plug in the Usb adapter so that it uses the windows default drivers. that will resolve your issue.
Download the driver for WUSB54GS - Wireless-G USB Network Adapter with Speedbooster from www.linksys.com at least I think this is the one, and save it on your C drive where you can find it. After you complete the download, check the file to see if it has aviWusb54Gv4. If it does then you have the right one. Open two windows, one with the one that shows the files you just downloaded and the one under Program files for your Compact Wireless-G USB Wireless Network Monitor. Replace the aviWusb54GC.dll file with aviWusb54Gv4.dll file by dragging and dropping it from the C drive to the one in Program files. Also check that you have resWusb54Gv4.dll file, if not just drag and drop it too and that the green icon with the black lines is WUSB54GSC. Try this and let me know if it works for you.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it. Thanks, Joe
