Restore factory settings to acer aspire L3600?

I am having problems with my new computer (acer aspire L3600). It isn't performing as it did when it was first purchased. It is running vista and has just had broadband installed. About a month later, the hard drive light is continually flashing and the internet is running slowly, though the internet provider says that there is nothing wrong with it. No new programs have been installed recently.
I was wondering how to restore factory settings so the computer is set up how it was when it was purchased.
All files and programs are backed up ready.
Also no installation disks came with the computer.

PLEASE HELP!!

Hi.

With that desktop computer being new it should have a hidden recovery partition on the hard drive that allows you to perform a factory restore which will take it to how it was when you took it out the box.

To access the recovery partition on your Acer computer for recovery, follow the steps listed below.

1. Power on the computer
2. At the white ACER BIOS screen, hold the Alt key and press the F10 key simultaneously to start Acer eRecovery.
3. Once eRecovery has loaded, click Restore to Factory Default Settings
4. Click OK to continue
5. From here, the eRecovery process will update all the data on the C: drive and restore a fully functional factory image which should take approximately 10 minutes.
6. Once eRecovery has run, press OK to reboot the computer.

Hope this helps!!!

Regards.

Try and start it in safe mode. Rebbot the computer and as soon as soon as the computer starts to boot hit F8 several times this should bring it up in safe mode. If you get the compputer up in safe mode try to restore to a different date.

Let me know if this helps

How do i put my acer computer in factory condition

From Aspire.pdf

Insert the startup disk you created during Windows setup into the floppy drive and
press Ctrl + Alt + Del to restart your computer. This will automatically diagnose your system and make necessary fixes. However, if the diagnostic utility still reports a problem, then you may have to perform the recovery process to restore your system to its original default factory settings.

Note: For more information about recovering your system, refers to the RCD instruction sheet.

In other words you need your startup disk.

How do you reset Acer Aspire T180-GB7Z PC

Perform a system recovery:
Does not come with recovery cd's - there is a program that allows you to burn the disks or
recover.
3 ways:

1. If in Windows - Start - Programs - Acer empowering technology - Acer E-recovery management -
click on Restore at bottom then "Restore to factory default settings"
2. Or click on Burn disks instead of restore
3. if unable to ge into Windows then Alt/F10 during boot right after Acer splash screen on startup
