Re: How to supress the date and time and location of the...
The date and time will always be printed but the name is what you put in under fax header (you leave that blank).
But that is supposed to be there as far as FCC rules.

Hi, try removing the camera software that was presumably installed. If not, can you try a System Restore? Sys Restore will restore your laptop to an earlier time. Try a restore date prior to the date the problem first occurred. (Sys Restore in WInXP is accessed thru Start/Accessories/System Tools- Restore dates that you can use will be in BOLD font on the calendar) Cheers, Steve
Hi Deanna, unfortunately it is not possible on this unit to have the date and time stamped as that is produced by the senders machine, this feature is referred to as the station ID on your brother machine.
This document explains the different results obtained when using or not using the Automatic Reduction (or Auto Reduction) Feature. The following issues usually result when the Automatic Reduction feature is not set correctly:
Faxes printing too small
Faxes printing on more than one page
A blank page ejecting between each printed fax page
This feature can be turned ON (the default) or OFF from the Advanced Fax Features menu.
The two main purposes of the Auto Reduction feature
Fits a received fax page onto the paper size loaded in the paper tray and selected in the paper size setting of the Basic Fax Setup. For example; if letter size paper is loaded in the paper tray and selected in the fax settings and a legal size document is received, each page will be reduced and printed on one letter sized paper.
Allows the addition of the fax header margin at the top of every printed fax without extending the fax onto another page. The fax header is printed at the top of every fax received with identifying information about the fax sender. Since this increases the overall page length, the page must be reduced to fit onto one page. Auto reduction slightly shrinks the fax as it is received so the entire page will print on one piece of paper even though a top margin is allowed for the fax header.
What is printed on the top of your received fax's is determined by the sending machine. If the user at the other end does not have name ,date and time programmed into their machine correctly then you will get printed on the top of your received page whatever is in their machine.
Sender ID
This is a descriptive title that identifies the sender -- usually the location of your fax machine or the name of your company or office. It is printed at the top of every fax you send. You can enter up to 32 characters. The first 16 characters will also be used as your Personal ID, which may appear on the displays or reports of other fax machines you are communicating with
Setting the TSI/CSI and Sender ID1 Press Menu/Exit to enter the menu. 2 Input speed access number 02.
3 Input up to 20 numbers and characters (0-9/Hyphen/ Space/+), press Enter.4 Press Menu/Exit.
