It must be trying to drain out water but the pump mechanism might be rubbing due to faulty bearing. Need full model number before I can give you more details to look for. Is this happening right at the beginning of the wash cycle?
Your problem is going to get worse, really soon. The DC motor on the bottom of the washer needs to be replaced. The windings inside the motor have shorted together and cause it to draw too much power, shutting down the washer. The motor is expensive, home warranty covered mine.
I think it maybe your lid switch. If the lid switch is out it will not spin and sometimes spin or drain. can you give me a model number so that I can further assist you?
I had this problem with new duet sport washing machine. Service was out to fix under warranty (4 trips!) replacing water sensor and boards. Finally checked outlet and was told no neutral. ?? Charged us for that visit since not covered. Plugged into another outlet and it worked. Had electrician in, replaced original outlet (although saw no sign of bad connection) and washer worked again! Yippee until today when I had the same issues. Tried in another 2 outlets and still shut down after a few minutes (and in those few minutes it never really ran as it should) Went out to get an outlet sensor ($8 at hardware store). Plugged in and found no errors. Started washer again and it did run and completed cycle. Although estimate 1 minute of final spin cycle took almost 25 minutes (on QUICK wash no less!) Will have to monitor. See if we get lights on outlet sensor next time washer doesn'twork, see what other things in house are running, etc. (although washer on dedicated line). ONLY change since this happenned: We replaced our 30 y.o. electrical box. You'd think this would be better???
Hi this could means that you may need to replace the washing machine bearings. Once the bearings are bad, the motor overheats and it will automatically shut down after the first rinse.
the timer is bad.the 42 min cycle and the 6 min cycle share the same timeline.try northernparts.com for the part number and price.installing the timer isnt that difficult.
