  1. Look at the network connection icon wheter its blinking or not during refreshing the web page.
  2. If it does not blink check connection between router and pc
  3. check Netgear internet settings.
  4. Check if there is any block settings in the router.

Window Vista has lots of updates, and it's bit defender is working everyday to check your pc. This is really slowing your programs including Internet Explorer.

To test if your Windows is haveing problems or not, you might download a linux live CD such as PClinuxOS or Knoppix to test the connection.

If you can browse the internet no problem then it would be your Windows has a problem.

Cannot communicate with DNS server 75.75.76.76

2 possible solutions to this.

1st, check if chrome is trying to access through a proxy server, Click on customise & control Google Chrome icon, click on settings. At bottom of page, click on "show advanced settings" scroll down to "network" & click on "change proxy settings" This will open internet properties on the connections tab; click on "lan settings" towards the bottom & make sure there are no boxes ticked, then click OK & OK again, then try refreshing the page; it should now appear.

2nd, make sure your firewall is not stopping chrome from accessing the web. As I don't know which security software you're using, can only suggest you go to the vendor support pages.

Which page are your referring to? Are you talking about an internet web page? If you are the refresh or reload button is normally on the top left, near the forward and back arrows.

Can i go back windstream.net i like it alot much b etter i dont for much hp website so can you help hp website is to much for me

Faye78, I am going with that you have an HP Home page for your Internet. So every time you open up Internet Explorer you get an HP Web Page. You can change this two ways:

Option 1: Go to "Options" in the "Tools" Menu. Choose the "Main" Tab from the list on the top. Click on the "Use Current Page(s)" button.

Option 2: Click on "Start" - "Control Panel" - "Internet Options" - "Then type Windstream.net" in the first large window - "Click Okay". See the image bellow as to where to type.alexanderit.jpg
Once you have done that try opening up Internet Explorer and if it was done correctly your Home Page would be "Windstream.net". I have included two photos one from Windstream about how to change it, and another is a

I have a acer travelmate laptop with built in wireless but when i press the wireless button on at the front it doesn't light up and i can't pick up any access point.

Make sure your wireless is showing in network connections
See if you have the wireless icon in your task bar
if you do right click then wireless connections if you see a connection on the page click on it then connect if none there then on same page left side click refresh network list you may have to do this a few times if any connections show then again click and hit connect.
If you have none of this try a system restore by right clicking my computer properties and it should be at the top click restore then choose a date when you know your internet worked.then restart.
IF THIS DOES'NT DO THE TRICK THEN WE'LL TRY ANOTHER SOLUTION

No pictures will load up on any web site I go to... videos will

Ok try this...(there are as few things it could be but try this first)

1) Open "internet options"

2) And on the "general" tab click on "accessibility" and then make sure "NONE" of the four check boxes have checks in them.

3) Then click ok and ok again to close internet options

4) And then close all browser windows

5) And then open a new web page and see if it works now..

If that doesn’t help than let me know and ill tell you some more things to try
(But I have found that little setting to work most of the time)

Connectivity problem

it is still trying to connect via your modem, go to control panel>network connection, and you will see your modem dialup connection, right click and select dissable if required.

next open up internet explorer, go to tools>internet options, then click on connections tab, then half way down select 'never dial a connection'.

Click apply>ok, then close internet explorer, open it up again and wait a few seconds and it will connect via your router(asuming that it is correctly set up).

If no page appears then click refresh a few times.
