Constant Green - TV is Powered On
Constant Red - Lamp Failure
Constant Yellow - DMD temp is very high
Blinking Yellow - Lamp cover is open
1 Red Blink, 6 Yellow Blinks - Color Wheel Failure
3 Red Blinks, 4 Yellow Blinks - Lamp Failure
3 Red Blinks, 6 Yellow Blinks - Exhaust Fan Not Working
3 Red Blinks, 7 Yellow Blinks - DMD Fan is not rotating
5 Red Blinks, 7 Yellow Blinks - Ballast Problem

wait for the light to go out then press power. Then if it doesnt power up hold the menu and the Device/input buttons on the set both in together for 5 seconds the light will blink a series of blinks pause briefly then blink another number of blinks then pause then it will repeat the same two digit blink sequence a few times . Let me know the two digit blink sequence.

Almost 90% of ps3 can be fixed by new thermal Compound but you may need a new power cord either way id just send it to sony but im glad u tried i failed too trying to fix mine

Sorry to give you the bad news but their is nothing you can do for it... Need to call sony and have them fix it.. if you ps3 is older then a year .. you will pay about $100 .. but i would tell them its not that old and you want them to fix it for free.. it worked for me... oo and all your data .. its lost .. lost forever... sorry

It's blinking and the light won't stop blinking the it turns off by its self

sorry but its called the yellow light of death..look on youtube or google ylod or yellow light of death solutions...its called this bc when u turn on ps3..the light is green for a moment, then yellow, and finally blinks red...sony charges $150 to fix...google and youtube will show you how to do it....youll need some electronic skills

OK EVERYONE I FOUND ALL YOUR ANSWERS , IM JOHN FROM NEW JERSEY [email protected] , FOR THE TRISONIC UNIVERSAL REMOTE CONTROL , TC-RC488 AND MAYBE OTHERS , INSTEAD OF THE CODES THIS IS EASIER,TURN ON THE TV OR VCR ETC. FOR THE POWER MUST BE ON WHILE DOING THIS PROCEDURE , PRESS THE YELLOW SET UP BUTTON AND THE DEVICE KEY U WANT SUCH AS TV1 OR VCR1 AND HOLD THEM BOTH DOWN UNTIL THE RED LIGHT ON UR REMOTE STAYS ON THEN IMMEDIATELY AFTER HIT THE YELLOW SETUP BUTTON AGAIN UNTIL UR RED LIGHT STARTS BLINKING THEN POINT THE REMOTE AT YOUR TV OR VCR AND KEEP HITTING THE RED POWER BUTTON AS THEN YOUR REMOTE IS TRYING TO FIND A CODE AND WILL EVENTUALLY FIND A CODE , AND YOUR TV OR VCR WILL SHUT OFF , THEN THE RED LIGHT WILL BLINK LET IT BLINK UNTIL IT GOES TOTALLY OFF, THEN HIT THE POWER BUTTON AND YOUR REMOTE SHOULD WORK , SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO HIT THE DEVICE KEY AND YELLOW SETUP KEY SEPARTELY AND THEN THE RED POWER BUTTON, I CALLED TRISONIC AND ACTUALLY HE HELPED ME AND I HELPED HIM , HE SAID I SHOULD WORK FOR TRISONIC , THIS IS A QUICK SEARCH , NOT REQUIRING ANY CODE NUMBERS, HOPE I HELPED YOU ALL SINCERELY , JOHN A.CLINE , CHECK OUT MY LIST OF LYRIC BOOKS AND MUSIC AT WORDCLAY.COM BYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
