Don't worry, I think it's just the frame counter is full. it goes to 9999 then instead of recycling around to 0001 it just hangs. You have to manually reset the frame counter. I don't know how on your camera, but I've had to do it three times on my Fuji S5 since March, (I'm a pro and take a lot of pictures!)

I had the same problem. Once it said "Memory Full" there's no way to get rid of it how much you try to recover, format the card, reset the camera with no avail. I had thought the camera was out of order. Then googled around and come across with this workaround. When nothing else works for you just take out the memory card. Take a picture to the internal memory of the camera and then insert the card. Voila!! you can enjoy our camera. I guess this is a software bug. The camera can not reset the memory card full flag before you take a picture to the internal memory.

Try taking the memory card out and clear all piictures left on the cameras memory then hit renew this should work. Make sure the memory card is out.

Okay, I was having the same problem. I have 2 fuji s7000's and they both were having the same problem. File no. full kept coming up. I even bought brand new cards for them with twice the memory capacity and still the same problem. Nothing worked until I got to this web site & started reading about others who have had the same problem. Turns out the information was slightly wrong. I read that to fix this problem you had to take out the card than take a picture to the internal drive of the camera! That did not work. What did work however is when I turned a setting from continuous to renew on that camera! Instantly both of my cameras came back to life man I was happy!
