Have an i1032 digital camera. New only computer is vista operating system. Can't use software from CD-ROM specifically the i1032 Camera Driver which is the one I need for a PC. Is there a free downloadable Camera Driver that is compatible with Vista?
To get going, insert the CD that came with the camera into your computer. Instead of choosing the autorun, install the DVIX application before commencing to install other desired applications. With the above sequence, you will be able to install the camera driver and will be able to download your pictures into your computer. Howerver, during the download, the computer will ask you if you will want to scan your camera and fix problem or continue, chose continue that is don't scan. Enjoy your camera and computer interface.

Uninstall the driver (if installed). Next, put in the driver CD and browse to the setup.exe file. Right click and select properties. In the box that opens, select compatibilty tab and select the box next to "runthis program in compatibilty mode for" and select XP SP2. and install the program
Should that not work, uninstall and retry the above process, but select Windows 98 or 2000 this time..Hopefully that will work.
If it still does not work, then unfortunately, you will either have to downgrade to XP (I believe the driver works for XP) or buy a new camera altogether..
Hi...what operating system are you using, and did the camera come with the USB cord needed to to connect to the computer; Also, if you are using XP or Vista, you should be able to plug that cord into your camera and computer and the operating system should recognize it.... Heres a link to a firmware update for your camera, if you need it:
usually if you buy a camera, gadgets etc will bundled with a cd which is driver actually. if your operating system is vista, then you must make sure that the camera will work in that operating system. You can read it on the manual or etc or in the box. install the software in the cd first before you plug the camera into your pc. the software must be included with the appropriate driver.
1. What operating system are you trying to use this on Windows 98, ME, XP or ?
If you are using Windows XP it will recognize the Camera as a Hard Drive (it will call it mass
storage) in My Computer
2. Do you have the Driver CD for the Camera?
If you have the CD Goto MyComputer and find the Folder CameraDriver
Inside the folder is a file called Setup.exe, Double left click your mouse on it
and let it install the Driver.
3. When the Driver says installation Complete, it will then need to reboot.
4. After Rebooting, Plug in your Cable to the Computer and the Camera, Turn the Camera on and
then open My Computer and look for a New Hard Drive in the icons.
5. Open it and inside the Folder in the new Hard Drive you will find your pictures that you may now Copy or Cut and Paste Into your Computer and use..
