Question about Dell Inspiron 6400 Notebook
I want to learn how to get of my password because i forgett it i take the battery off but the password still in my laptop the password in BIOS
Did you remove the CMOS-battery, or just the DC-accu? The CMOS-battery is a small coin-cell battery that enables the BIOS to store settings while the computer is powered off.
This battery can be found beneath the keyboard as shown in the dell service manual.
You could also take a look here, if you don't want to open your laptop, or if removing the battery doesn't work:
On the bottom of the page is a list of some programs that might be able to restore or read the password.
