Bought used truck he took out sterio but factory

That truck has a 3 piece system:

1. The display (located by heater controls)
2. The tuner (located under dash, above and to the right of the accelerator pedal
3. The EQ on some models and tape deck on others (located in center of dash)

Radio should work with tuner and display minimum
If the tuner is gone you are better off going aftermarket

99' Chevy malibu, Horn is not working!

Bethany - You are doing well, but you may be at the wrong end of the problem. If your horn is "bolted" to the metal frame of the car then that is the "ground" wire and for our purpose we will call it "black" (to match the color on the battery). The other wire will be the 12 Volts going to the horn and we will call that wire "red" but it will not be red, it will be some color, perhaps with a stripe of an other color. The red wire will go through the wiring block on the firewall behind the engine to get inside the "cabin" of the car. Once inside, it will go to the(output side of the) switch that is activated by you blowing the horn. What happens is the key turns on the power to the input side of the switch, you press the horn button and the noise you hear is the horn (following the path to ground, and completing the circuit). With a flashlight and a few minutes, you should be able to determine the real (unique) color of the wire at the horn, then the wiring block (same color) and the tough one which will be the other side of the block (in the car), it should also be the same color. If you energize that wire, and the horn honks, the problem is definately in the switch, and now I would think that you need the dealer to tell you how to fix it without blowing the air bag.

CD player wont come on was doing weird things

You have your accessory wire (red wire) and remote ran together and the yellow (constant wire ran separately in the dash?

You need the red wire to so you can use accessory and to turn off your cd player when your vehicle turns off.

You need the yellow wire to keep all your settings stored. base/treble/time clock

Just a little clarification. Your amp turns on with the remote wire (blue) wire, if that is not hooked up you will get no power to the amp.

Here's the in-dash diagram to your vehicle at the bottom of this pdf.

You want to focus on N,O, and P

Do you happen to have an after market wiring harness? These can be bought from walmart for your vehicle. You just take the male end connect the colors together and plug end that goes to your cd player into the female end. Very easy to do.

Windshield wiper issue: http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forums/attachments/4-6l-tech/32492d1188791176-2003-mustang-fuse-box-diagram-2003-enginefuseblock01.pdf Check C1002, 1003, and 1004 under your hood.

You could also have one of these fuses out under your hood, that might cause you to lose power to everything.

Display lights

You need to tie them( the stereos lights) into your dashes dimmer switch wiring. This is what that YELLOW wire is for or didn't you read the manual for the stereo unit. Locate your vehicle owners manual. Some have a wiring diagram in the final pages or look for the exploded view of the fuse block. You can tie in through this. If there is no diagram in the rear of your vehicle manual, go purchase the backyard repair manual(Chilton's, Motors, Haynes, etc) or go to the dealership and purchase the wiring/repair manual from them(at an exorbitant cost). OR you could just take it to an installer and pay them the money to correct this issue.
