Dirty print fron laser 1010 familiy printer ?

THIS IS A PROBLEM OF YOUR TONER

1. If new print cartridge toner is giving dirty print this means your toner is not original or one of it part called PRC primery chargin rod need to be replaced, If PCR is main cause it repeats dirt marks after every 1.5" inches .

2. If PCR is not a problem then dirt is due to you wiper blade of your toner .

3. last one is your toner powder used by refiller is not up to the mark.

if not solved mail me again

After 50 copies displaying insert new ink

If your prints have been using a lot of ink on each page, you could have already used up your ink. Try removing the cartridges and replacing them. Also check the electrical contacts on the cartridge and the printer. If they are dirty that could also be the cause of the error.

My Xerox Workcentre is not printing out very dark even after changing out a new ink cartridge. The Drum is only about 8 months old. Also prints with line down the page occasionally. Different when...

If the copies are coming out with a school fence type image on the copy, it sounds like the low voltage power supply is causing the problem.
One other area to know about is, the laser head might have very dirty mirrors. The mirrors get a film of dirty haze on them causing the copies to print out very faint.
The repair is very involved and complicated.
In order to clean them, the laser assay would need to be removed and opend up. Very delicute care need to be taken when preforming this task.
Another area is if the copies are coming out light, suspect the software version is not up todate. A serivce call might have to be made on it. The service person can update the software on the machine.
Good luck and be safe.

Brother MFC 8220 all-in-one fax prints with a vertical line

First guess is you have a bit of dirt (often white-out from people scanning corrected paper that's not quite dry) stuck on the fax scan window. This should be described pretty well in your user manual (which you can download online from brother.com).

Its also possible that there is dirt (typically loose toner) on the laser scan window (there's a laser that shines through it to get the image pattern on the drum). That window is often along the bottom of the unit under the drum/cartridge (take the cartridge out and look). The Brother manual I've seen seems to ignore this possibility.

Print streaks DO NOT mean cartridge drum replacement in many cases !! On brother Intellifax or MFC or other laser copier/printer/fax, keep in mind that either the fax/copy scan window OR the laser scan window can get dirty. If the fax scan window is dirty, you see streaks on outgoing faxes and copies (but NOT incoming faxes). If the laser scan window is dirty, you see streaks on all prints (copies, faxes, print-from-computer).

Note also that when transporting/moving some laser copier with the toner cartridge inside, the toner can get out and make a big mess inside (including getting the laser scan window dirty). An air compressor can be usefull to blow it out. And sometimes using alcohol to clean is a BAD idea (maybe incompatible with plastic and rubber parts). A damp rag is probably fine.

Vertical line on copies

A vertical line on laser copiers which are the same lenght apart on each indicates a dirty or defective toner cartridge or dirty or defective rollers. Take the cartridge out and wipe the rollers with a soft cloth. If the streaks continue then the rollers inside the cartridge or damaged. You will need to replace the toner cartridge. Let me know if you have any questions. Please rate this solution with 4 diamonds.

WEAK COPIES ON XEROX COPIER

You need to 1 remove the glass and clean the mirrors, lens and bottom side of the glass.
Also, remove the toner and drum cartridge, use a flash light. On the left side you will see a "window" about 5/16th of an inch in height, and probably 5 or 6 inches wide. That is the laser window, it is probably pretty dirty. You may have to use a Q tip or a soft cloth, dampened with some glass cleaner, and clean that window well.
If the optics, and laser are dirty , hazy, the copies will be light and streaky. The drum may be bad. Also, on the right hand door, Look just above the rollers, there will be an opening, it has a small clear plastic guide, then open with a hair fine wire running through it. Take a Q tip dampened with some alcohol, and carefully clean that wire. You can apply light pressure to clean it, just don't get forceful, it does not take a lot of pressure to clean that wire. That wire is responsible for "transferring" the ink from the drum to the paper.
If you clean all 3, Optics, Laser window and transfer wire, I think you will be very very pleased with your copy and or print quality. That should restore it very well.
