The eMachines E725 has a built in switch to toggle the touchpad on or off by the touch of a button. Look at the button to the left of the main power switch. You'll notice the icon looks like a hand touching a rectangle - or touchpad. if this button is lit up, the touchpad is turned off. simply press the button to toggle the touchpad back on. The light on the button should now be off.

Touch pad stopped working. daughter age 5 got hold of laptop
Unplug any external mouse and uninstall software for the touchpad, if this does not work, then it needs to be replaced.

Most laptops are setup to turn off the touch pad when a mouse is plugged in. If you plugged it in because the touch pad stopped working, you most likely have a bad driver or touch pad has gone bad. Go to your manufactures web site and down load the latest driver and reinstall the driver. If this doesn't fix it your touch pad is most likely gone bad. However, if your not running an anti-virus there's a chance you've picked up on a virus or some malware.

Yes it has a incorporated webcam. The resolution of the webcam is 0.3 mp. Go to the Acer website and check to convince yourself.

Hello, press Ctrl + F7 and this should enable back your touch pad. I think it was disabled and that's why it did not work. If this does not solve the problem, then I'm afraid your touch pad as developed a fault and you will be needing the assistance of a repairer. Take care.
