Phaser 7700 not booting up

On switch on keeps displaying Tektronix Phaser 7700 by Xerox

A yellow line is comming on both sides of the printout when i print using my phaser 7700

    The Printer's Front Panel Displays Continually Tektronix Phaser 7700 by Xerox Logo
Cause:
    The printer is unable to boot past the postscript initialization tests.
Solution: Phaser 7700 not booting up - thumbsup.gif Fixed! thumbsdn.gif Did not fix. TRY FIRST (Solutions without parts):
Verify printer is plugged into a dedicated power source.



TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS AND HINTS:
Try booting the printer into diagnostic mode and resetting Engine NVRAM. Occasionally the printer can be recovered by resetting the values from the hard drive to the engine board.

    Entering Service Diagnostics by Rebooting the Printer



    1. Turn the Printer power OFF.


    2. Hold down the Back button and Help buttons simultaneously and turn the Printer back ON.


    3. Continue to hold the buttons until the following message is displayed on the Control Panel: Service Diagnostics V#.##, Initializing..., and then release the buttons.


    4. The Control Panel displays the Service Diagnostics Menu.



      1. You can print a Service Diagnostics Menu Map by highlighting Print Service Menu Map and pressing OK.


      2. The Printer will now run through POST and return to Ready.


      3. You will need to re-enter the Service Diagnostics menu.

    Entering Hidden Service Menu without Rebooting the Printer



    1. Scroll to the Troubleshooting --> Service Tools --> Printer Status Page menu.


    2. Hold down the Up and Down buttons simultaneously.


      NOTE:

      You can print a Service Diagnostics Menu Map by highlighting Service Diagnostics Menu Map and pressing OK.


    3. Scroll down the menu to select Run Service Diagnostics and press OK.


    4. The Control Panel displays the Service Diagnostics Menu

Hy the problem is: You have to clean the 2nd BTR and the transfer belt cleaner. There is a large amount of used toner on those things.

That normally indicated a heating issue with the print head. Could be the printhead itself or an issue with the electronics module providing the source voltage for that heater

Phaser 7700 Accumulator Belt Replaced, upon startup there is an error


POSSIBILITIES

Problem:
1st BTR Contact Failure or 1st BTR Retract Failure Message is displayed after replacing the Accumulator Belt Cause:
A Phaser 7700 Accumulator Belt was installed in a Phaser 7750. The Phaser 7700 Accumulator Belt does not have retractable 1st Bias Transfer Rollers; so these errors will be reported if one is installed in a Phaser 7750 printer. Solution: thumbsup.gif Fixed! thumbsdn.gif Did not fix. Remove the Phaser 7700 Accumulator Belt and install a Phaser 7750 Accumulator Belt. TRY FIRST (Solutions without parts):
1. Check that all shipping restraits have been removed.



TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS AND HINTS:
1. Test the 1st BTR motor in diagnostics to verify proper operation. 2. Test the 1st BTR sensor in diagnostics, then run the 1st BTR motor test and recheck the 1st BTR sensor. Sensor state should alternate between L and H. The sensor is part of the accumulator belt.

REPAIR/INSPECT/PREVENT PROCEDURE:
1. Clean feed rollers, exit rollers and guides; replace if
necessary.
2. Clean feed rollers and exit rollers only when dust or
debris is visible.
3. Remove and clean all paper trays.
4. Clean the Laser Scanner Unit window.
5. Inspect the image density sensors; clean if necessary.
6. Inspect the accumulator belt home sensor; clean if
necessary.
7. Inspect the fuser assembly; clean if necessary.
8. Print the Error Log, diagnose and repair any problems as
indicated.
9. Print the Usage Profile, diagnose and repair any
problems as indicated.
10. Check version of all installed firmware; as

including fans; if necessary, clean (dust or vacuum) these
areas.

Code 09,038.46:4776 whats wrong


that code indicates most likely you have an ink stick in crooked, a broken ink stick in or added pieces of an ink stick.
That code is showing that you most likely have an ink stick loaded incorrectly or it broke.

Phaser 860 error code 07.003.45:116163


It is a print head tilt error.
Most likely ink is in the stainless steel pivot block at the bottom of the print head.
Also the printer could have been unplugged and the cleaning blade is stuck to the print head.
Or a cable is binding the print head movement.

Phaser 8200


Not a problem, but turning it off causes the machine to do a setup, which then purges the ink supply and is very wastful.
