Hi buzan, the model number you provided is your Compaq montior. That's ok though.
Computer freezes are usally generated by software. Suggest you de a few things.
1. You can run windows system restor back to a date the pc did not freeze.
2. Run a full system's virus scan. (make sure your virus software is up to date). Anti-virus software subcription no longer valid?

Compaq WF1907 19" monitor backlights are on, but

Check the monitor on another computer to verify if using correct setting for this monitor will allow a clear image to be displayed.

In windows 7, the monitor should be detected and installed automatically.

What version of windows are you using?

Laptop has black screen on startup. what do i do to repair this.

I have a similar problem:

I have a Compaq Presario SR2010NX desktop computer. Recently, very occasionally, the computer would freeze and the screen would scramble. It almost looks like someone chopped up the picture on the screen. Then we would have to manually shut down the computer and restart. It would always work fine afterwards.

Yesterday the computer did it again. It restarted fine but when my boyfriend tried to install a new mouse the computer froze again and the screen went scrambled. Well this time it did not start back up. I tried to unplug the computer from the wall and restart but that got me to the COMPAQ screen and then the computer froze again and the word compaq was doubled all the way down the screen. We continued to try to start it in PC recovery but it would get the the program and freeze. I actually got it to run once but I couldn't see what it was doing because the screen was scrambled.

Now we have restarted it so many times that it will start up, light turns green, and stays green. The computer sounds like its starting up and it seems louder than normal. The computer doesn't do anything and the screen is black. The lights on the keyboard do not turn on but the light in the mouse does. The CD drive will light up and run as well but nothing happens after that. I can't see the cursor and the keyboard does not work.

I opened the computer up, cleaned the dust off, tried to re-install my old RAM and that did not work either. I disconnected the CD drive but that did not work. Tried to start the computer with nothing plugged in except mouse, keyboard and monitor and that did not work.
I don't know what to do! Help!

WF1907 Monitor is in sleep mode - how can i get it to stay on?

If understand your issue correctly , your system and monitor is fine . The only problem is that the monitor switches off after some time.

If after moving the mouse or taping on the keyboard the monitor comes back . Then we can solve the problem buy adjusting the power settings in the OS .

If the monitor doesn't come back on if you strike the keyboard or click the mouse. Then the problem could be with the monitor.

Depending on the OS you have you can disable sleep by going to the following link

Compaq WF1907 monitor keeps going to sleep every couple minutes..

Sounds like the backlight may be on its way out.

Put a large font single word onto the screen in a high contrast such as white on black. Get the monitor near a window if possible, and the next time the monitor seems to go off, see if you can still feintly see the image using natural light.

The backlight can be replaced, but it is somtimes so expensive, it's easier to buy a new monitor.

How old is it?

Compaq Presario 5000 won't turn on

hi,
The machine is getting the power but no display. This seems a RAM or motherboard issue.
1.Press and release NUM Lock after turning on and if it is responding this is a RAM issue and if not then the mainboard issue but before all refix the RAM once.
Thank You.

This monitor series( HP Compaq WF1907) seem to have a inherent problem with the sleep mode control circuit. You should take this unit into the service center for repair. Hope this helps.

I need to change the freezer seal on my refrigerator. But they did not send me any directions on how to do it.

most of these have a hardened plastic female channel thats tough to see . it is a part of the door and consealed under the old gasket. it has a hollow groove . usually the new gasket has a flat side with a dart or double dart piece sticking out . this dart or arrow side runs the entire side of the gasket and smushes into the door groove channel.. usually you start on a corner firmly pulling out the old dart and gasket from the channel groove. clean the old channel with mild detergent and a little brush. wipe down. lightly oil door groove channel with a little veg oil on a rag and get ready to mash the new dart onto the channel all the way around. it takes great finger strength and mashing one thumb on top of the other to get enough pressure but it can be easy on some. good luck .be sure to clean door sill mating surface and wipe with oily Veg oil rag so new gasket stays clean and doesnt stick. it may take a few days to break in and level out. be sure your snug all around when done. lay out new gasket nice and flat in warm room before you start.
