Hi juicer, If you use the switched outlet, then everything will be turned on/off when you operate the preamp power switch. Use the unswitched, then you have to turn off each unit separately. You choose which one you want. It wont matter.

What connection do you intend to use to connect the LBT zx6 to the Onkyo preamp??

Yamaha ax470 amplifier, power amp works but nothing else

This unit has main in, preout jacks. When you say the amp works, are you referring to the amp turning on? There will be no sound out of the amps, if there is no preout. Are you aware that there needs to be jumpers between the main in and preout jacks? If you don't have the jumpers, no problem; just use a stereo patch cable between the jacks above.

Can i link my amp (Beringer EP2500) to a Studiomaster Vision 8 powered desk. If so, would i link it the same way, straight from amp and into the main L & R outputs. Susan

Hi,

I'll think you can link your EP-2500 to the powered mixer, but absolutely not into the main outputs.
Look if there's a pre-output on the console, that is one way to connect your amplifier
The other way is the master insert connector, then you have to use a stereo jack and connect the amplifier to the ring and ground from the jack.

Good luck,
Gerard

I have 1 center channel pre-out on back of my kenwood receiver. how do i hook it to the inputs on onkyo m-282 amp and then to center channel speaker?

Unfortunately can't connect it that way. The pre out is only meant to go directly into an amplifier that has all of the same inputs (front/rear, center and surround), not a standard receiver. (Pre amp to amp only, not pre amp to receiver) If your Onkyo doesn't have all the same inputs as your Kenwood preamp has outputs you will just use your standard left/right outputs from the Kenwood to your Onkyo input (CD, Tape, Phono,DVD etc) then use the outputs (front/rear, center and surround) from your Onkyo receiver and connect directly to your speakers..

Sony LBT-XB55AV 3 in 1 sound system pre amp left

Its usually all in one module, its the heart of the system and its usually docked to an aluminium dissipator... Unsolder it with a wick and bring it to your nearest electronics parts reseller, or look for it on the web...

I have a carlbro glx 85 guitar amp, whitch seems to sound distored

Can you at least change the distortion sound (timbre, contour, whatever they call it on that amp) and drive? If this has a footswitch jack, you might luck out and find it's just dirty or stuck (normaled jack, could be NO or NC).

SONY MHC-EX66 STEREO AMP NO SOUND BUT ALL OTHER CONTROLS WORK FIN

The unit is probably in protect mode and the main amp section is shutdown. Check the output transistors for a shorted condition. That is the most common failure point. I will check for the service manual in the meantime to try to get you more specific details.

Need help connecting my eq to my system.

You will want to connect all of your devices to the pre-amp or receiver, then connect the outputs of your pre-amp/receiver to the inputs of the EQ. Then connect the outputs of the EQ to the inputs on the amplifier or receiver. If you give me some model numbers, I would be able to tell you exactly which cables go where.

Sony preamp has no speaker output but headphone jack work fine

Hi...
If this thing is a pre-amp , it will not drive any speakers.
You'll need a power amp to connect the output of the pre-amp to...then speakers.
