Its the signal cable fault. Try to change it and then check again. Get some good branded signal cable.

Also look to see if power supply/logic bd had any bad caps also.

Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, blown fuses, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). This the symptom of failing T-CON board which is part of the LCD panel assembly, the LCD panel will have to be replaced.

It will get worst with more lines/bands.

That is the symptom of failed T-CON board (part of the LCD panel assembly, new panel will be needed), you can try reseating the ribbon connector on the LCD panel first.

mrjk65, If monitor still has bright, crisp images displayed on the LCD panel your monitor could be worth saving! Unplug unit from wall outlet and plug it back in! If same problem occurs then most likely problem could be a DC voltage is slightly "out of spec" or a settings panel push switch may have failed. My guess is that when STRANGE out of the BLUE things start to happen for no reason, I would suspect the "switch-mode-power-supply" to be the item at FAULT. Visit YOUTUBE for vids of "LCD monitor disassembly" , "LCD monitor repair" . You will be glad you did. Okay.... If you can. install your drive. It may work. If not then your Hardware in your monitor is screwed. Or maybe something else but not to my knowledge.

Try updating your video driver. Also, try connecting your machine to external monitor and see if there's a display if not i then confirmed that you planar is faulty.

Note: If machine is under warranty no need to pay for the repairs.
