Thanks for your help guys.
It all started a week ago- I could not get my monitor to turn on when I arrived home. I typically turn off my monitor, go to school / bed, and leave my computer running. I would move my mouse to initiate it out of whatever sleep/screensaver mode it was in (not hibernating), and it would not turn on. It woulf fizzle, I would see gray vertical lines, then it would just go out. The orange 'power connected' light would not even turn on, which is supposed to be on, regardless of computer connection, as long as the monitor is plugged in.
Early on, when I would try and revive and my monitor would go out, I would wait an hour or so, try and turn it back on, and it would again go through the gray / black lines, and MAY (50/50) kick on and work normally.
Now its at the point where I cant get it to turn on at all, no orange standby light, no power whatsoever, nothing. My CPU is fine, the power cord is fine, my monitor just fails.
Gateway is worthless, they dont want to do anything about it. How can I get this fixed?
