Close up pics W/clarity

I am trying to take an up close photo of an engagement ring I just purchased but I am unable to get a clear, vivid photo. It is always blurry and you cant make out the detail of the ring. How can I get a clear vivid close up photo with this camera?

Set the camera for the "macro" setting. This is a close focus setting. Turn the camera power on. Press the "flower/mountain" side of the command dial on the back of the camera. You should get two icons on the display...one is a mountain, the other is a flower (macro setting). Use the command dial to jump to the macro setting. You should get a large confirmation icon to tell you that the macro setting is activated. Now you will be able to get close, real close. Like 2 inches close! Good luck.

I cannot get a clear pic...FOCUS on a ring. Have Pentax optio 60 camera and the top setting is on "S".

Switch to macro mode. Press cursor-up (marked with a flower) then select Macro (the flower icon). This mode is used for close-up photography. For full details, see "Setting Focus" on page 28 of this manual.

To take a close up photo of your ring, if your camera has a Macro setting then select this setting, this will allow you to take a very close up photo.

How to take close-up pictures ?

Look for a button or setting that looks like a small flower. If there is one on your camera it will set up for close ups to about 7 inches. When done press the button again to clear the setting. The button may cycle through several different settings so you may have to press it multiple times to access the close-up mide.

Unable to view pics

Copy the existing photos on to your PC, switch off the camera. Remove the SD card and format the SD-card using a SD-card reader, this will clear all the card contents. Now try using it in your Camera again. Ideally, you should be able to save photos on this SD card. Other way would be to insert another SD card into your camera and click photos and check whether those photos are being saved into the SD card(this can be done using display option in your digicam.)

I am trying to get clear closeups of teeth (work in a dental office!) and I keep getting blurry pics. We do have a telephoto lens but I have no idea how to use it... Help?!

For the best photos of close-up it is recommended to use a tripod since the Canon A620 has no image stabilization. You can then use the macro setting and set if for the distance you will be shooting from and your photos will be a great clearer and with no blur
