You will need to check the wireless settings of the router
is there any computer connected to the router ?
If yes then you can open the router set up page on that computer.
Router set up page is the page where you can check all the wireless settings of the router.

Check if the router is assigning IP addresses to the Wireless devices. Also se if you hard-wired desktop has been assigned an IP address manually. Else try to assign IP's to wireless devices manually (Depends on your setup)

I can't connect to the internet wirelessly. i don't think my linksys router is working

To connect to your wireless router, the router's wirelesssettings needs to be configured with the SSID, encryption etc. and also thewireless cards in all the laptops/computers needs to be configured with theserouter's wireless settings. Then the laptops/desktop computers can communicatewith your wireless router.
Connect a LAN cable from the Linksys to the LAN port on your computer.
Open a browser and enter the Linksys configuration URL
http://192.168.1.1
The default login = admin
The default PW = admin
You can protect your router by changing the default admin PW (write it down andput it in a safe place)
Go to the wireless configuration and set up the SSID and WPA or WPA2encryption.
Now apply these settings to the wireless card in your laptop/computer.
To secure your wireless network from unauthorized access, please click on thislink and follow my instructions :-http://www.fixya.com/support/r3559128-wireless_router_security

I can't complete the setup of my Vizio XWR100 router, since I can't get to the Quick Start app. I've tried http://visio.home, http://192.168.1.1, and the default gateway IP, but I still...

OK... Have you checked the settings of the LAN card in your PC? It should either be set to DHCP or 192.168.1.2 for the IP address and 192.168.1.1 for the gateway.

Hardwire ports on wireless router not working

You could

1) Reset the router to factory default by hitting the reset on back

2) You could visit the router over the wireless link (http://192.168.1.1) default password is "admin" username blank.

Check on the page to ensure the ports are enabled.

3) Update the firmware on the device. see if it works.

Note there is a port called "uplink" which is designed for the internet connection and not the local computer.

I am having problems with my wireless connection disappearing

there maybe a few things you could try 1) see if there is a later firmware update for the router from the manufacturer 2) Loginto the router and remove any wireless encryption - see if that helps 3) It may be wireless interferance and the router is switching channels - download this program and install http://www.xirrus.com/library/wifitools.php Then have a look at the channels in use - loginto the router and change channel to one that isnot used - try and use channel 1 or 6 or 11 4) Remove the wireless profiles from your PC http://mgmcc.forumotion.net/networking-tutorials-f17/removing-an-existing-wireless-profile-t109.htm

We have windows 7 ultimate on a hp pavilion du 7 laptop, coupled to a linksys wr310n router. It was working fine until our c drive crashed & had to replace , now we can't get the router to work , driver...

For the WRT310n, back to the User Guide (download from Linksys), perform a reset and start over following setup instructions (make sure the router is hardwired to the laptop). Set up a new home network on the laptop using Control Panel. Make sure the adapter settings are correct and good to go. Then see if you can connect to the router with your browser to set it up. After setup, you should be able to connect to the router wirelessly from the laptop, but you have to make sure the wireless transmitter inside the laptop is turned on first (see the laptop user manual).
