Question about RIM BlackBerry 7290
I bought this blackberry from ebay n the owner claims to use rogers. when i got the phone i put a new battery in it n my rogers sim. it said 'invalid sim card'. how could the phone lock on my sim card but not his??
I have question, where your old owner phone live? Did he/she lived in the same country with you? Just for your information same carrier network from one country is different with other country and you must unlock your phone if you want to use another sim card.
To unlock blackberry 7290 network from rogers you will need a blackberry unlock code that can be purchased at third party sites.

If it is set for one service supplier it should work on that sim - I suspect its locked on another supplier - question the seller on ebay - if he is ingenuine you can always leave bad feedback.
