Question about Audio Players & Recorders
I bought my ipod classic 80gb, hooked it up to my laptop it synced with itunes library, had all my songs on the ipod then itunes asked me to update software, did this, then ipod turned off and couldn't get it back on again. Tried all day today to reset, nothing.... then got home around 7 ish tonight and tried to reset aha!!!!!! get a picture of red battery and ! charging please wait, then after about 1 hr it goes off again and can't turn it back on again! Am at wits end....
If it keeps happening (and your hear clicking or repetitive sound from inside) you have a broken hard drive. Open the iPod classic and replace the hard drive. The part is available on ebay. Here's a guide on how to disassemble an iPod classic. Maybe a tech savy friend can do it for you. If you want to pay to have a service do it for you there are third party iPod Repair Services.
