Packard Bell laptop 4 way split screen

I have a Packard Bell T5250 laptop running on vista home premium sp2. As soon as I switch it on the screen is split into 4 horizontal bands each showning the same thing. It gives me 2 choices - start windows normally or recovery module. It then attempts a recovery, then shuts down. Occasionally it works normally. Can I fix this?

This doesn't fix the 4-way split screen problem. Imagine the contents of your screen squashed into a quarter of the size horizontally, then put 4 of them on your screen from top to bottom.
    A) it definately should not be happening, and
    B) it's very hard to read!
I am trying to uninstall things and play around with it, on the rare occasion when it works. I'll keep you all posted.

I've tried that. I think it might be a faulty graphics card.

Restore my packard bell to factorl settings

Hello there,

If you want to recover Windows Vista factory settings, go to "Control Panel", then "Backup and Restore Center." There you can choose to restore your operating system using system restore or to restore your system from a previously saved restore point.

Hope this helps

Hello, Packard Bell does not provide a specific CD-ROM driver, but the chipset driver might work: http://global-download.packardbell.com/GDFiles/Driver/Chipset/Chipset_Intel_9.1.1.1020_W7x86W7x64_A.zip?acerid=634000083872292051&Step1=Notebook&Step2=EasyNote&Step3=EN%20LJ65&OS=721&LC=en&BC=Packard%20Bell&SC=EMEA_27P

Packardbell notebook can't switch turn on webcam

Look at the keys on your keypad. Do you see one that may have a webcam symbol on it? If so try holding down on the Fn key, and pressing down on that key at the same time.

If this information does not help, then when Windows is loaded, and running, press the Start key, hover your mouse cursor on All Programs, go to the right, hover on >Packard Bell>drop down to >Security and Support>and then Packard Bell InfoCentre.

Click on Packard Bell InfoCentre. On this screen look at the icons across the top. Click on the icon all the way to the right. -> Guides
It has an icon of a book in it.
Look for Webcam.

My packard bell laptop, has 2 split vertical screens showing

Hi

In some of the forums, it has mentioned that the windows update could corrupt the video driver. So try uninstalling the video driver and download the latest video driver from website and install it. This must resolve the issue.

Revert back for clarifications.
