It's not that hard to remove the panel you'll need to pop up the defrost dashboard trim with a flat head screw driver and then you'll reveal the top screws for the center panel, then you'll need to pop out your ash tray and reveal the bottom screws. after all screws are out you'll be able to remove center panel by hand. then there will be 4 bolts holding your radio to the dash that you'll need to remove and you're done.

2001 Jeep Wrangler makes whistling sound except when you accelerate. Everytime you put your foot on the gas, it stops....take your foot off the gas and it whistles

if you have an aftermarket intake on the jeep the throttle body is making the whistle... there are many aftermarket throttle body spacers out there that can eliminate this...
if you dont than I think that we have the same problem... might be a vacuum leak if the jeep idles funny or it could be an exhaust manifold leak... I'll let you know if I figure out mine. :)

1998 Jeep Wrangler - Radio and Wipers stopped working

Some of the factory and aftermarket radios have a fuse in the rear of the unit. You will need to remove the radio from the dash to check it. It will have a spade type fuse in it. If it is bad the radio will not work.

Need to know how to take apart dash to replace radio

Likely it's not much different than ones just a bit older...remove the bottom panel and any screws along the bottom of the plastic dash face plate. The top is held on with clips and it should pull out, exposing the radio mounts. Go from there. They make a face plate adapter for the radio and a harness extension to help with wiring, available where they sell aftermarket radios.

Need to install cd player in 97 wrangler. need to know which wires are speaker ground power etc.

easiest thing to do is to go to best buy and buy a radio harness kit for $15-20 which will plug ontop of your radio harness so you don't have to splice any wires. the kit is a plug on one end and labeed wires on the other end that will tell you where everything you need is to install a new cd player in such as your power, ground, remote, and speaker wires...much easier to do then to splice and trace each wire.

Removed aftermarket radio from 1999 Wrangler, no gauges work now

first, you have to tape any open wires with electrical tape, so they DON"T short anything out again. second, check your gauge fuse.
