Question about Televison & Video
Just brought a new Samsung LCD TV and the picture contains a lot of blue pixels/rings/blobs?! especially noticeable on skin and sky/light colours. Is it one of the settings, have tried changing most things but cannot get rid of the blue lines.

I have a 37"Samsung LCD and having just spoken to the Sky engineer (also a friend) he says it is a national problem between Sky+ and Samsung. I have the same problem when on playback but not on real time? If you had your box changed to an Amstrad what sort did you have the problem with?

SOURCE: We have a samsung 50"
If the samsung is more than two years old it is probably the Tv. I have a 42" samsung and the color blue will appear all over the tv for awhile and then go away. It started after two months and I just thought it was from playing xbox. I believe its a known defect in the tv or related to burn in. If you got it from a store use your coverage on it

Your problem sounds like the lead that connects from main pcb to the lvds pcb.
These have gold coloured connections that become tarnished & dont make good contact.
You can try to sort this out your self but please be very carefull the fine wires on the plugs can be easily damaged.
If you do decide to have A go you will need tin of air duster & elecrical spray switch cleaner, You are only to clean plug & socket connections on lvds lead & pcb.
