Question about Samsung Digimax S630 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Fuzzy pictures I used my camera about a week ago to take pictures of my son and the pictures came out crisp and clear. Now just out of the blue I go to turn my camera on and take a picture and all pictures come out blurry and the screen is even blurry.

I purchased a samsung s630 for my daughter as a birthday present. It hasn't taken a clear crisp photo yet!!! I have only ever bought Kodak cameras and purely purchased the samsung because it was hot pink!!!

All the photos are blurry, If i don't find a solution, I will be taking it back to the place of purchase very soon. I have even gone through the booklet that comes with the camera and there is no troubleshooting page.

My parents bought me my s630 for my birthday since i was going out to arizona and visiting the grand canyon and sedona. The month preceeding my vacation and even the first few days in arizona, the pictures were BEAUTIFUL! But then when I went to take pics at the grand canyon, I could only take crisp pics when i zoomed all the way in on the object. I have many fuzzy pics of the grand canyon now and sedona. I can't believe it. I will be contacting samsung very soon!

The blurry pictures are due to movement. Sometimes adjusting the flash helps.

Tip

I used to have a really inexpensive Kodak camera. It started to fall apart...

press the power of the digital camera, wait until the camera is ready
select the object , press the shutter HALF way and wait for the camera to focus and lock on the target than press the shutter all the way

the best digital camera's can focus and lock and shoot in less than a second.
the advantage of digital camera's is that you can see the result directly after taken the picture

Olympus fe-190 camera, keep getting message lens error, restart camera, also monitor is grainy and fuzzy, unable to take crisp, clear pictures, and make strange sound...

The problem you are describing is a problem with a sensor in the lens assembly. It seems to have failed and needs to be replaced. Following are the instructions to send your camera to Olympus for service.

http://olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/cpg_servicerepair.asp

Olympus will charge a flat rate repair fee for this product if beyond the one year factory warranty or the warranty is voided. The cost is $80.85 plus your local sales tax. This covers parts and labor, factory cleaning and diagnostic check, 6 month warranty and the cost of shipping the product back to you is all included in that price.

Your camera is set to 2nd curtain sync. You will have to go into your cameras custom functions, and disable it.
Hope this helps,

Fuzzy Pictures

When you resize an image (especially if the original image is quite large), you need to sharpen it before uploading.

Besides that, there's many other parameters that affect the image quality. The picture you uploaded here is too small to be properly examined. Make sure, in any case, that:

1) The camera has focused properly. Especially in items like the one shown (with multiple reflective surfaces), a camera can be easily fooled and focus on something other than what you intended
2) Make sure the camera settings are appropriate (ISO should not be too high, shutter speed should not be too slow)
3) Use a tripod for maximum stability

Fuji FinePix S602 Zoom - Black strip down picture

If you see the black line on your images and it is a very crisp clear line then it is an issue with the cameras image sensor. If the line is less crisp and clear then it may be a more simple of contamination in/on the lens. If the line is crisp and clear and the camera is under warranty get it fixed or replaced. If it is out of warranty look into getting the CCD component replaced at a repair facility. There is an outside chance that it is just the connector which bridges the sensor to the processing board - but that usually manifests all over the image, not just in 1 strip. Indoor Photography

what's probably happening is this: Since the light is low, the shutter must remain open for a relatively long time. If you're hand-holding the camera, you'll get blurry shots. Using a tripod will eliminate this. It doesn't typically happen outdoors because there's usually enough light to permit very fast shutter speeds (>60th of a second or so). Some newer cameras offer image-stablization for those lower-light situations. The camera or lens makes very quick adjustments to compensate for your moving when taking a shot. Hope this helps! Best wishes
