I bought my RCA MP3 M4304 on 4/04/10 & have only had it for 9 days before it stopped working completely. I barely had any music on my mp3 player & I plugged it into to sync some music to it but the RCA easy ripper synced all the music on my computer onto it without me knowing it or asking me. Later on that night I tried to turn on my mp3 player but as it was starting up I'd get a message saying "profiling requires 20MB free! Shutting down!" then shuts down but now my computer can't even recognize my RCA opal M4304 mp3 player at all anymore so I can't even go in to erase all the extra files so I can make at least 20MB free. Yet at the same time my computer recognizes my brother's and my daughter's mp3 players so I'm not sure if this is a mp3 player problem or a computer problem & I could you all the help I can get.

Sync the device with your windows media player and erase all that garbage software RCA gave you it doesn't work. After you Sync it you should be able to add your music from your media player, pictures, and video file will work fine otherwise you have to move all your music files into the RCA software.
When your downloading music the mp3 player must completely write the data files completely onto it. Your mp3 player must not. Try downloading the data of the songs over. And do not mess with the process such as playing music on the computer or Doing anything else on the computer as well. I hope this helps.
I receive an MP3 M 4804 for Christmas. I wanted to download books on CD that I own. After trying for 4 days, I way able to get an 800 # (1-800-645-4994.) for help from RCA. I was told that the only way to download CD books was use Audible.com....a site where you have to buy the books. I confirmed this with a second call to RCA... So I returned the MP3
1: Plug your mp3 player into your computer 2: Go to the start panel on the bottom left corner of your computer 3: Go to my computer 4: Go to where it says JET 5: Go to internal memory 6: Go to the Music folder 7: highlight whatever you may want deleted (you might have to do 1 at a time) 8: right click your mouse 9: go to delete 10: go to yes
There that should do the trick if you have completed each step successfully then you should have all the songs that you did not want removed.
1. Make sure all the songs are in mp3 formate. 2. Make sure the songs are not protected copywright. 3. Most of the songs once plugged into the device is pugged into the usb device you can drag and drop into the music folder
