I have the ***-35PU and just finished fixing it. I found that lint/dust had gathered at the scroll wheels.
Here is how I fixed the problem. Carefully remove the 2 rear white glides at the rear of the mouse - the side away from the wire. Use tweezers and gently pry them out to expose the retaining screws that hold the top of the mouse to its base. After removing the screws, gently lift this rear section away from the base and slide it slightly rearward (away from the attached wire). Note the 2 small slots at the front of the base which receive the 2 small protrusions from the case top. Sliding the small protrusions into the slots and reseating the rear of the case is an important alignment before replacing the mounting screws during re-assembly.
Now that the mouse has been opened, use the tweezers to remove the accumulated dust/lint by the axles of the scrolling wheels. You will notice that the wheels have optical semi-conductor sender/receivers beside them. The sender projects light through the spokes on the wheels to the receiver. The dust/lint has interfered with the light path causing the unreliable scrolling performance.
Be sure not to touch, with your fingers, the adhesive side of the 2 white glides that were first removed to expose the screws. The oil on your fingers will reduce its adhesion to the base when replaced.
This opening and cleaning procedure also fixes problems with the left and right mouse button reliability problems due to mis-alignment of the top and base. My mouse also had this problem too. It works great now.

Check the mouse settings in the control panel, and be sure it's set to 4-5 lines, and not whole screen.

My scroll wheel skips, jumps, scrolls backward or on its own. Can I fix it?

Take the roller ball out of the bottom of your mouse if it's the older style and clean the dirt and dust of the roller wheels with a q tip and alcohol. If it is an optical mouse try putting a piece of white paper under it when you use it this may help. If not it is time for a new one.

When i scroll down on any page on my laptop, it always jumps right back to the top

No, it is not a issue with your graphics card.. The middle roller of the mouse is messed up & it can not be fixed.. You have to buy a new mouse & the problem will resolve :D

Myweb page opens to large . I would like it to return to its normal size.kindly advise.

if the mouse has a scroller button on top, open a web page, hold down the CTRL key on the keyboard, and use the mouse scroll button to scroll down slowly to make the web page fonts smaller. Alternately, click the VIEW menu on top of Internet Explorer if it is what you use, select text size and change the size to medium or smaller, then close and re-open the browser.

Try simply using a system restore to before the problem started acting up. Also, you can try going into the mouse properties (Start Menu, Control Panel for Xp) and look for scrollsettings there, which may allow you to turn off certain mouse features (aka. if gestures are enabled it might be conflicting with scrolling).
Hope this helps.

Browser keeps reloading last page

Bring up your Browser, click on tools and then Options. When the Options comes up in the Start with page, will read "Show my windows and Tabs from last time" and click on the drop down and select "Show a Blank Page." Then it should work okay. Hope this helps. Bud
