Question about Computers & Internet
I've been trying to do a clean installation on my toshiba laptop and I formatted the hard drive using the windows 98 start up disk since the DVD-ROM drive was not working.
Now I tried to use an external DVD-ROM drive but the USB option is not listed on the boot priority in the BIOS, even though I select CDROM > FDD as the boot sequence but still doesn't work.
I hope you can give me some advise,
Try using a CD-ROM, since the drivers for the DVD_ROM are not present.

You are on win 98? wow..that USB support is thin to minimal on that o/s
you may need to upgrade to another windows version for that..sounds like your computer has a few kinks and issues
