Question about NetGear WGR614 Wireless Router
If it doesn't come up with user and password screen do a reset to factory defaults. Here is a link for your manual. There's a version number after the 614 I believe it's on the bottom. Just choose the correct version for manual and ifo and firmware. The NAT's will protect your network but read the manual. Not very hard. Please rate if helpful. Thanks. http://kbserver.netgear.com/products/wgr614.asp

netgear wireless, first thing we need to make sure is that we are connected hardwired to the router. after ensuring that we are connected. try to open a browser, be it internet explorer or mozilla firefox.
after you have the browser on your screen try to go to the address bar and type in there 192.168.1.1 the username is always "admin" all in lower case, and the password is the word " password " itself. all in lowercase. after successfully accessing the netgear page, try to check the leftside of the screen and look for wireless settings. and click on it. then look for network name, type in, or create your own network name there. next is look for security options. and make sure to choose WPA-AES(TKIP) after choosing it. type in your passphrase now on the box below it. make sure its 8 characters and longer. then click on apply settings. this would take a couple of minutes. after its done applying the settings, exit from that screen and try to locate your network name and connect. this should work
