Question about Vacuums

1 Answer

Am i going mad? I've just brought an electrolux Cyclone Ultra 2000W hoover. I've got it out of the box and have tried to fix the cover to the unit (i.e the bag free area which collects the dust). It won't fit. I've tried everything and think it must be faulty. Has anyone ever come across this before? Grrrrrr.

Take it back to the store and compare it to another one, and possibly have a store manager help you, if they can't get it, then they should give you a different one and make sure that it will work before leaving

Could you please let me know what was wrong with my solution that you would deem it inappropriate? I have never come across a problem like this and the only way to know for sure if it is faulty is to compare to another vacuum that is the same as the one you own which if you have a friend that owns one, you could accomplish this task with them or like I suggested, Taking it back to the store and comparing it and possibly exchanging it. The store associates would be glad to help you, they like doing something different every once in a while. If you have any other questions or comments about my answer or anything else, please let me know, I aim to please

Im trying to blow up an air mattress. Can my hoover agility cyclone blow it up or dose it only suck things up??

Unfortunately you've got suction only on that. Your best bet would be to find an old Electrolux canister vac to hang on to, thosee always had a way to plug the hose into the exhaust for blowing.

Hoover Alyx 2000w, no power. Help!??

Its a possibility then that if the fuse has been replaced that the cable inside has either come apart or you have a broken switch. If its only a year then you should be covered automatically with Hoover's guarantee.

Not sure if you're posing about the Hoover since you're in the Hoover S1361 forum, or the electrolux.

I had similar frustrating problems with my hoover and made a blog post on how to take it apart and fix it here.

It has to have a clog somewhere, either in the hose, or down by the brush roll, the dirt inlet may be clogged. But am sure you have warranty on it, contact the company or your salesman to see where you can take it for warrenty service.
