I just need a replacement filter for my Durabrand Canister Vacuum with HEPA, Model#DB9191. Can you tell me where to buy a filter for this brand/model of vacuum cleaner?

I have the same problem. Purchased the item from Wal Mart and they do not have replacement filters nor do they offer any help in finding one. Durabrand should offer replacement filters by mail and put that info in the instruction booklet that comes with the vac

I also have a Durabrand Canister Vac, Model # DB9191 and am at the point where I need a replacement filter. I have an owner's manual but didn't get an order form for replacement parts like I did for other vacuums I've purchased in the past. Does anyone know where they can be purchased?

Help!!! I love my Durabrand Canister Vac, but the filter is worn out and cracked. Where do I get a replacement filter? There is no e-mail address for the company or phone # or parts order form with the owner's manual. The instructions say to replace the filter every 6 months ----- well!!!???? How am I supposed to do that?

I wish to buy : Durabrand Canister Vacuum with HEPA Model # DB9191 -or- equivalent

I believe these machines are sold at Walmart as well as sears. They are good machines but be forewarned that hepa filters can get expensive. If the filtration on the vacuum is a concern then this is a good choice. When it comes time to buy filters or accessories this link will have what you need
I really hope this works for you and thank you for choosing fixya.
Good luck !!!

Where does the hepa filter go

Look for a removeable grille at the top or back of the vac shaped similar to the filtter. The filter is an after filter so it sits beyond the bag

Water leaking from out of the heppa filter

Reasons for that to happen:
a) You have tilted the vac while vacuuming
b) Used the Rainbow without separator (basket like thing on the bottom of the motor)
c) Overfilled the rainbow tank with water (may have happened when shampooing with AquaMate)

Clean and install back the separator, remove HEPA, Set the Rainbow on empty water pan (with HEPA removed) turn it on for a while so everything will dry. Install new HEPA.

You will have to get a new HEPA filter (you can find them HERE)

Good Luck,
Rocky

Vacuum filter

We bought one a couple years ago too, no filters. Now, WalMart carries replacement filters for other vacuums that will fit. Go back to WalMart and pick up the Durabrand CF2006 - it's in an orange box, works like a champ, I think it was around $5. We bought a couple. Great vacuum.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. The best way to clean the HEPA filter is to take it outside and use a blower over the trash can and blow off the dust and dirt, or use things like an old paint brush and brush it off, or you can vacuum it off with another canister vacuum or shop vac if you have an extra one. For the best filtration is to replace it, there fore the air flow will catch most of the dust and dirt and then you would have to watch how fast it gets dirty and then do the maintenance.

So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

The air driven head is probably bond up and needs to be cleaned. Alot of the air driven ones have a belt that may be broken or stretched.
