This can be achieved using a microSD card formatted in the phone. In Settings menu, PC Connections, set the phone to Mass storage. Connect to computer and upload your ringtone file to the music folder. Go to Menu, My files, Memory card, Music. Select your ringtone and under options select Copy to phone. Now go to Settings, Profiles, select profile, Options, Edit, Call ringtone, Change, Music, Select your ringtone, then press Back repeatedly until you get back to initial screen. Worked forme! Colin
I dont have a solution, but my aunt purchased this phone and a new SD card, and I have put pictures and music for ringtones from my computer to the SD Card, and when I put it back into her phone (Samsung R451C) I can not bring any of the pictures up and I can bring the music for the ringtones, but I cannot set it as a ringtone. I am sure if I was able to bring the pictures up, that I probably would not be able to set them as a wallpaper or nothing also...So I kind of have the same problem with setting my aunt's pictures and music with the same phone too...
i think may be your memory card is virus effected or corrupted. first check your memory card. if it is ok then you can restore you phone by using these key.
*#7780# when you press these key then you mobile want security code. then give your cell phone security code. then it takes restore factory setting. caution: before restore factory setting please keep backup your all sms and contact no.thanks
Please follow the below steps to upload the data to the memory card:
Go to 'Contents Manager' and choose the pictue / music / video / Sound / ringtone which you want to upload at memory card.
Once you have decided which file(Picture / sound etc...) you want to move to memory card, select the file(Picture / sound etc...) by clicking on ' * / z ' the file will be selected then press on 'Menu' scroll down to 'Edit' then go to 'Copy/Move' at the top of the screen it will shows as 'Copy to' press next and bring it to 'Move to' and scroll down to 'Storage Card/MemoryCard' and press, it will give you the folders where you want to move the pictue / music / video / Sound / ringtone scroll down to that folder and then press select the file will be moved to that folder. This resolve your issue
i dont know exactly about the rumor, but this is usually a two step process, depending on the phone. If you already have music on the SD card, you need to go to your music files and select the one you want as a ringtone, then pull the menu up (the equivalent of right-clicking on a computer) by probably pressing the menu button when on the selected song. There should be a command that basically is " set this as a ringtone", which you should then select and accept. Now depending on your phone, you might not even have to do this first step. You can go to either the phone menu, where you should access where you go to configure ringtones, idk if its sounds, phone, theme, whichever one. Here, the song you chose should appear along with the default ringtones that came with the phone. Hope this helps, hit me up if you still can't get it.
hi, do you have an extra mem card in the phone if you have then move some data to this as the phone dont use the memory on card unless you put stuff their yourself, so the phone will say mem full even if memory card is empty so try this first. 1. delete any messages in inbox/outbox/sent messages as these will take up mem 2. delete any old phone numbers/pictures/screen savers that you dont use. 3. the best way to free up loads of memory is by deleting all of the free ringtones you got with the phone most of the free ones you will never use so i deleted all of these and just kept the ringtones i used most people never use the free ones you get when buying the phone so doing this will free up loads of room. Also delete any ringtones you have put on their that you never use as the music ringtones can use loads of mem alot more than the standard tones. 4. every time you send a message your phone stores them in sent messages so delete all of these. Once you have done all of this you will find you have loads of free memory. The best thing to do if you have a memory card in your phone is move all the music/music ringtones that you want to keep onto the card doing this means you can still use the ringtones and free up loads of the phones memory. The phone dont take the mem card into acount when its telling you mem full ok so put as much on mem card as you can ok. Let me know how you get on and also if you need further assistance ok
