There is not anything you can do about the device..The device is completely defective...Its like throwing your computer on a lake and dry it after that..What I can recommend you to do is to contact the manufacturer to see if they will send you another one..
I hope that helps

Mp3 got washed and dried is it a lost cause?

Its really depends, What was it washed in dropped in toylet? washer? also detergent. mineral/water content. If it still works you might have gotten lucky, if it was washed dried and spun, your more than likely going to have issues. If its working for now, i would say make sure if gets plenty of dry out time, but may have started some parts inside build up corosion.

My walkman is dead

shops don't give warranty on mp3 players more than 2yrs max. and even if it still were in warranty, the warranty would've been void when the player got washed and tumble-dried.

try removing the batteries, letting it dry for a few days and using new batteries afterwards. if this doesn't work, the mp3-player is done for...

My Samsung YP-U3 MP3 player went through the wash, help!

Have the unit be dry. If you can get a disassembly manual it better to dry the unit disassemble. But a high probability its battery is a goner.

The moment its get wet, you shouldn't try to switch it on, that could be disastrous to the unit. Let the unit still off or be off.

If your lucky after it is dry it will start. But as I've said battery could be dead or the unit is also get damage. Even only the battery is damaged, replacement could be hard to find.

So try to let it dry before opening it.

You have to try in powering it up.

Unfortunately, when such kind ofelectronics are washed, the only solution i to open it immediately, clean all the water and moisture residues, dried it, and then charge the battery again and test it.

When time passes (say 2-3 months) after being washed, there is corrosion and moisture in the electronic components and internal connecttions, and the device is permanently damaged.

Went through the wash !

First of all, do not try to power it on, plug it in, or press any buttons. I would flip the hold swith on top so you see orange so none of that happens. You need to be sure that all of it is dry first. However, realize that something probably bumped it enough to turn it on in the wash too, which could have zapped it pretty well. I would let it sit to dry for at least a week. I know it sounds terrible, but you need to be absolutely sure that it is dry. One tiny drop can ruin a whole ipod, if it is not already broken. There should be edges that are barely noticeable, but if you can pry them open with something really thin, without warping the plastic, you could get it open to dry. Just be very careful not to touch anything inside, because oils on your skin can be just as harmful as water. Good luck, and let me know what happens.

My mom washed it

Thats real bad!!!! there maybe some dry joints there now due to it being slammed around the washing machine, so you'll have to reflow the board.
